Repairs

Repairs, at our own bench

Jewelry · watches · clocks

Most of what comes through our door is not new. It is a chain that broke, a ring that no longer fits, a watch that stopped, a clock that has been quiet on a shelf since someone passed. We have been fixing those in this store since 1985.

Bring it in and we will look at it with you at the counter, tell you what it needs and what it will cost, and you decide from there. There is no charge to be told.

What happens when you bring something in

  1. Walk in with it

No appointment. If it is a ring you want sized, bring a ring that already fits the right finger.

  2. We look at it together

Under the loupe, at the counter, with you watching — so you hear what it needs and what we would do if it were ours.

  3. A price and a date

Before any work starts. And if a repair is not worth doing, we will say so.

  4. We call you when it is ready

Then we go over it with you at the counter before it leaves.
